Untitled poem

It has a lot of excess punctuation, I know. I was taught to point punctuation at the end of each line, now I have no idea where it goes.

Comments and critiques, please!

Hands ready to strike,
Tingle in anticipation.
They are waiting,
To ruin you.

Undetected;
Lurking among us.
Opportunity occurs,
They seize the moment.

Unused time,
Now a threat.
Poor decisions,
Ruling the world.

Your ideas,
No longer yours.
Freedom,
Now stolen.

Why us?
Why not?
We are there,
That is why.

No one is safe,
Not now, not ever.
We are the victims,
Picked off one by one.

Hiding in fear,
Does no good.
They are here,
They are everywhere.

Corruption,
Affecting all.
Uncertainty,
In our souls.

The light goes out;
Darkness creeps in.
Welcome it,
Get used to it.
